I design the product, the brand, and the site that sells it.
So what you build and what you promise stay consistent.
I help teams turn good ideas into products people understand, trust and choose — connecting what you're building with the experience around it, from the product itself to the brand and site that bring it to market.
Designed for the conditions your users actually have.
Good design doesn’t assume fast internet, one language, or instant trust. For four years, I’ve designed products for the conditions people actually live with: 50,000+ users, four countries, real constraints. Those constraints aren’t a limitation. They’re part of the design.
Featured portfolio
Products I've shaped across events, community health, logistics and small-business tools — solving real problems from first idea through to the experience people use. Some are live. Others are still being built.
Whether you need to build the product, make the offer clearer or give people a reason to act, I can help with one part of that or all of it. Each service works on its own, or connects into one system so nothing gets designed in isolation.
Build the right thing — and make it work.
I research the problem, understand the business behind it, map the experience and design the product — helping you make better decisions before development gets expensive and giving people an experience they can actually use.

Make people understand why they should care.
I clarify what the product stands for, who it's for and why it matters — shaping the positioning, brand direction and voice so the right people can recognise its value.

I design marketing sites and launch experiences that explain what you've built, why it matters and what someone should do next — whether that's signing up, enquiring, booking or buying.

Build it. Position it. Launch it. Make it work together.
Product, brand and website designed as one system — so you don't spend money building three disconnected experiences. What you're building, what you're saying and what people experience all work toward the same business goal.

Fixed scope
Not sure what needs fixing? Start with a Launch Audit — three days, a fixed fee, and a clear plan for what to change, what to prioritise and where to spend your design budget.
Great work starts with people, not assumptions. I talk to the people using the product, learn what they need and trust, then design from there.
I'm a product designer in Nairobi. I've spent four years designing business-critical products the kind where a confusing screen costs someone money, time, or care they needed.
I'm Diana Wambui, a Product & Experience Designer helping teams turn complex ideas into products people understand, choose and use.
I work with teams building something worth using to connect the product with the experience around it — from product decisions and user experience to the brand and website that help people understand and choose it.
Over the last four years, I've designed across health, events, logistics and small-business products, working from research and strategy through to the final experience. Some are live with thousands of users. Others are still being shaped.
I've also been on the other side of the brief. I've co-founded products, so I understand that design decisions affect more than screens — they affect time, development cost, adoption and whether people actually choose what you've built.
How I Work
Whether I'm starting from an idea or fixing something that's already live, I work from what people need, what the business needs, and what has to ship.
Step 1
Understand
Know the problem before spending money solving it.
I start with the people, the problem and the business behind it. I review what's already there, talk to users and stakeholders, and use research to understand what's actually getting in the way.
Outputs: Research insights · Audits · User journeys · Problem definition
Step 2
Define
Turn what we know into a clear plan.
I turn what I learn into a clear product direction — defining priorities, structure, flows and the decisions that need to be made before development and design work gets too far ahead.
Outputs: Product direction · Information architecture · User flows · Prototypes
Step 3
Design & Test
Make it real, then challenge it.
I design the experience, build the system around it, test the important decisions, and refine what isn't working. The goal isn't just a polished interface — it's something people can actually use and a team can actually build.
Outputs: UI · Design systems · Prototypes · Usability testing
Step 4
Ship
Get it ready for the real world.
I prepare the final experience and system for handoff, launch or the next team. No disappearing after the pretty screens are done.
Outputs: Final designs · Design system · Handoff · Launch support

Timelines depend on the project, its scope and the work involved. As a guide, the full Launch System may take around six weeks from kickoff to handover, while individual services typically take about two weeks each. The Launch Audit takes three days.
Each service is a fixed fee, quoted after the Launch Audit — no hourly billing. The full Launch System costs less than the three services bought separately, and you'll have exact numbers before anything starts.
Yes. I'm based in Nairobi and work across UK, EU and US hours. Past projects span Kenya and Nigeria, and I've worked with a UK-based team. Most of the collaboration is remote.
You work directly with the person doing the work — no account managers in between. I've been a co-founder twice, so I'm accountable for the outcome, not just the design file.
That's fine. Product Design, Brand & Positioning, and Web & Launch can each be booked on their own. Most people start with one and add the others when they're ready.
Let’s build something that holds together.
If you're building a product, a brand, a site — or need all three to finally act like one thing — start with a Launch Audit: three days, a fixed fee, and a clear plan for what to prioritise next.
